Lavender has always been my favorite color. It's just such a kind color, sort of soft and sleepy, but completely pretty and dainty. Lately it makes me think of the farmer's market outside of Columbia, where I always meant to buy a fresh bundle of the lavender plant from the vendors who sold it and never quite got around to it (like so many other things, life lesson!). Note to all readers: If I ever have a housewarming party, and you bring me a bundle of lavender, you will be invited to stick around forever.
